Round 2 of the 2025 Victorian State Super Sprint Championship rolled into Phillip Island over the weekend—and what a day it was.
Phillip Island turned on a wild one for Round 2 of the 2025 Victorian Super Sprint Championship. While most were chasing lap times, a few competitors were… cooking up something else entirely.
One car decided to take the scenic route at Turn 6, reminding us that the Island gives and the Island takes away. Meanwhile, down in Pit Lane, someone fired up an impromptu barbecue—complete with smoke, excitement, and a rapid response from the marshals. (No sausages were harmed.)
But in between, there was serious business to attend to. With several front-runners from Round 1 sitting this one out, the championship leaderboard blew wide open. Some fresh faces took the opportunity to shake things up, with new names climbing the rankings and seasoned drivers feeling the heat.
PBs fell, rivals closed gaps, and just about everyone left with a story or two. Whether you were gunning for trophies or just chasing your own limits, Round 2 delivered the goods.
And let’s not forget the real shocker: perfect weather. Blue skies. Dry track. Hardly any wind. At Phillip Island. In winter. We know—it felt weird for us too.
